Alte d’Altesi is a blend of Sangiovese di Montalcino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in equal proportions. It is a deep purplish red, with a pleasant, refined, elegant aroma reminiscent of black cherry, plum and blackberry, followed by aromas of redcurrant, violet and vanilla which finally end with hints of menthol and cloves. Flavour is well-balanced, with a rich body and elegant tannins. Alte d’Altesi is aged for 12-14 months in barriques and 3 months in bottles.
